Nikon unleashes D5300, loaded with built-in WiFi, GPS and everything nice

October 17, 2013, Nikon Inc. just announced  the release of the a new camera from their D5xxx line-up... the new Nikon D5300.

   Imagine having a camera that is full of mouth-watering features that a camera-enthusiast can think of on a DSLR. The best one yet from the Nikon D5xxx line-up!

The D5300 is jam-packed with fresh functionalities such GPS, so you can tag the location where you took that fascinating shot. Then you also have the  built-in Wi-Fi so you don't have to worry about transferring your files. With Wi-Fi it also lets you control the camera right through your phone may it be an Android Smartphone or iPhone. No need to get a separate device to allow your DSLR to communicate wirelessly
Interestingly, the D5300 sticks to the 24MP resolution just like the D5200 which was released last year.

Though feature-rich the new Nikon D5300 is lighter than its predecessors and weighs only at 480g or 16.9 oz. Now you don't have to worry carrying your DSLR around as it gives you more time to focus and make you subject alive.

Price is expected to be around $799.99 as per Nikon's Website for just the D5300 body.

     The Nikon D5300 will be available as a body-only package or get it as kit bundled with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens which will retail at price (SRP) of $1,399.95

    The D5300 bodies will also be available in two other variants red and gray. Users will have the freedom and option to choose which color will suit them.


    Since the D5200 was just released a year ago, we are curious on how soon does this baby will win the hearts of both Nikonians and camera enthusiasts alike. Let's see how the sales will go.
