AngelHack Manila: What the Hack?

       Last Saturday, AngelHack Manila, wowed the crowd who joined the AngelHack Manila Pre-Event held at JUMP Experience Center, Cyberzon of SM Megamall. The event lasted for almost two hours, where the attendees were left hanging and wanting for more.

            They threw a little bit of what to expect on the actual occasion.  A gathering of the cyber wizards, who had nothing to do but to eat and breathe hacking, so to speak. They even chatted with the AngelHack SG team via Google Hangout on Air, now how cool is that?

    Now here's the real deal. Starting tomorrow, Saturday, AngelHack will officially open its door for the whole country to see and know who will be the king of the hill for AngelHack Manila edition. Our very own programmers, developers, software engineers, will show the country how it should be done, hacking in Pinoy-style.

What and who's AngelHack?

AngelHack organizes hackathon competitions for web developers and entrepreneurs, called AngelHacks, where they can learn developer tools, meet new friends, and receive funding and mentorship for their startup ideas. In 2013, AngelHack will organize 100 hackathons, bringing together 10,000+ developers in 50+ cities. Winners from every city are put through the AngelHack Accelerator Program, where we mentor them for 12 weeks before bringing them out to Silicon Valley to raise investment and introduce them to incubators.

Previous winners have gone on to attend Y-Combinator, AngelPad, TechStars, 500 Startups, and incubators around the world. ---excerpt from angelhack.com

         Another car show to make this month of June right. Make your weekend productive by going to this event with your family, friends, or your loved ones. This time they bring the crew to the heart of the metro, Robinson's Manila(Midtown Atrium, Pedro Gil Entrance). Today's the 2nd day so you still have the chance to check and drool over these cars. Not only that, prizes will be given to those who will be willing to join the contest(s), so make sure you bring your game face on. Check it right away as soon as the mall opens.

         And oh by the way, just a friendly advise, bring those umbrellas, you'll never know when it will rain again. After all you don't want to get wet after seeing these hot wheels.

Pacquiao, Margarito? Which side are you!

This November 14, Year 2010, the pound for pound champion will have to defend again his title from Margarito. This should be an interesting fight.

As fellow Filipinos it should not be questioned whether we'll support him or not. For the avid fans it's already given. They'll 100% support Pacquiao all the way, from the start to finish, wether he wins or loses. For the pips who wants something new or different most likely they'll bet for Margarito. Now there are some who doesn't care but still wants to just enjoy the fight. Still the essence of the support is there. That's what is important.

         I remember one time, that since we don't a have a cable and can't wait for the national TV to broadcast the event, I manage to keep myself satisfied by just listening to commentators from the radio. Trusting them on whatever they say as they cover the fight live.

        Pacquiao bouts are usually interesting. It's only the presence of him in the ring, the crowd. You can also feel the presence on the streets. Yes, don't raise your eyebrows! Every time there's a fight of Manny's, the crime rate goes down to ZERO, yes Z-E-R-O. Even the crooks are watching and enjoying the fight. Nice!
