Shopee teams up with DOH to push Booster Vaccination

DOH Data Collect Dashboards enables real-time monitoring of Covid-19 response across the Philippines

With the rising number of COVID-19 cases that nearly doubled from the previous year, the Philippine Department of Health (DOH), recently upgraded their “DOH Data Collect (DDC) Dashboards” to give timely information of various metrics like bed capacities and service availability, COVID-19 commodities and supplies, and the vaccine administration program to the Local Government Units and health facilities throughout the country. This was done with the help of Info Alchemy Corporation and Microsoft.

“The dramatic surge of COVID-19 cases pushed DOH’s old system to its limits requiring quick reengineering to record and process real-time data from the different health facilities and vaccination sites throughout the Philippines,” said Dr. Enrique A. Tayag, Director of DOH’s Knowledge Management and Information Technology Service. 

In response to the COVID-19 situation in the Philippines, the DDC System upgraded its features to gather more comprehensive COVID-19 related data.  While also improving the internal dashboards that will give the DOH an advantage in decision making and the capacity to view good quality health information in response to the pandemic.

“Making vaccines available to as many Filipinos as possible is a critical agenda for us, both as an organization and as a partner to the national government’s efforts to do the same,” said Joanna Velez Rodriguez, Public Sector Director of Microsoft Philippines. “We’re committed to doing everything we can to drive the country towards resilience and economic recovery together with our state agencies and local governments.” 

     

Moving forward, the DOH is working closely with Microsoft and Info Alchemy to improve DDC dashboards into a higher availability and reliable service level to keep the public informed on the status of the bed capacities, isolation room, COVID-19 commodities and supplies and vaccination program in the country. The new system utilizes Microsoft Power BI, a cloud-based business analytics solution that empowers users to publish and customize interactive reports and analyze and visualize data for deeper insights.  

Microsoft and Info Alchemy assisted the DOH in scaling up and implementing the dashboard into a higher availability and higher reliability service level. Shopee and the Department of Health Team Up to Encourage Filipinos to Get Vaccinated

Through this partnership, Shopee and the Department of Health aim to raise awareness on the importance of COVID-19 vaccination through education. The message is clear, the the only to get herd immunity is get vaccinated.

Free Measles and Polio vaccination for Pinoy kids

Free Measles and Polio vaccination will be given to children ranging from 5 years old and below. From September 1- 30 parents can take advantage of this vaccination against the two diseases that are usually seen on kids at a younger age.
