Baguio City taps BayaniChain for ‘GoodGovChain’ pilot

Baguio City is taking transparency to the next level! 🇵🇭 Mayor Benjie Magalong has partnered with blockchain pioneer BayaniChain to launch GoodGovChain, a platform that records budgets, procurement, and infrastructure projects on a tamper-proof ledger.

Built on BayaniChain’s Digital Public Asset Framework, GoodGovChain lets citizens easily verify government documents through a secure dashboard while protecting sensitive data. Baguio is the first LGU in the Philippines to adopt the system, setting a benchmark for accountable and auditable governance. 

“Transparency is key, and blockchain is the only way to guarantee it,” said Mayor Magalong. With Baguio leading the way, GoodGovChain signals the future of digital governance across the Philippines.
