Known as a hub of modern condominiums and subdivisions, DMCI Homes' Acacia Estates township in Taguig City will be showcasing mobile homes this time around when the community hosts its first AutoSpeed Show this weekend.

The two-day event to be held at The Tent on Sept. 21 and 22 will parade among others, vans converted into mobile living spaces and trailer homes complete with furnishings and elaborate amenities.

"Among the 60 cars that will be on display are trailer homes which perfectly complement road trip adventures," shared Philip Delos Reyes of Team Lightspeed Philippines, which organized the show along with CarMavens.

Providing added attraction to the auto spectacle are recreational vehicles, classic cars, 4x4 off road vehicles, high-end motorcycles as well as food trucks which will be stationed around the premises of The Tent.

A car audio contest of the European Mobile Media Association (EMMA) Philippines, meanwhile, takes place on the second day and will serve as qualifier for the 2019 EMMA Asia Finals and 2019 EMMA Philippine Finals competition. The organization’s primary goal is to provide rules and guidelines that will be used as continuing efforts to promote the auto sound industry.

"Aside from that, there will also be an RC (remote controlled) drifting competition for kids. So it's really an activity for the whole family," said Miguel Arle of CarMavens.

But more than providing an automotive attraction, the AutoSpeed Show will give car enthusiasts access to some of the best vehicle products and services by just paying a registration fee worth P50.

Part of the proceeds of the event will go to a chosen charity of DMCI Homes, Team Lightspeed Philippines and CarMavens.
