OPPO launches its first Triple Camera smartphone R17 Pro, made for low-light photography

OPPO has officially announced the launch of the R17 Pro in the Philippines. A new high-end phone from OPPO, boasting stunning pictures in low-light, super fast-charging, and hidden fingerprint unlock.

OPPO finally joined the triple camera movement on the release of its latest smartphone with the R17 Pro. Launched last November 7, at the Marriot Hotel Grand Ballroom. The OPPO R17 Pro launch was made very special as partners, retailers, and members of OPPO leaders together with the media gazed the event.

R17 Pro's Radiant Mist colorway, is like a pearl that changes color as soon as light hits its surface, a brand-new "three-color and bi/quad-direction" gradient design. It's misted glass casing allows light to flow on the surface of the device, demonstrating leading color aesthetics and innovation.

The R17 Pro features a water drop screen on Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6, the brands' first attempt, with 6.4 inches of screen, 91.5% screen-to-body ratio. The Corning® Gorilla® Glass 6 is made to withstand a drop from a one-meter height to a rough surface for an average 15 times, twice what the Gorilla Glass 5 performance.

An in-screen fingerprint unlock sits discreetly, letting you access your apps, notes and files in seconds, from locked mode.

Super-fast charing with SuperVOOC

Powerful specs requires good battery that lasts. The R17 Pro also carries SuperVOOC flash charging technology, which can charge up to 40 percent in just 10 minutes. During the launch, it claims that an fully charge the phone in less than an hour. 

Camera perfect for quality and night photography

The R17 Pro upgrades both hardware and software, making it a smartphone especially designed for night photography. The R17 Pro features a software-level AI Ultra-clear Engine that allows users to take high-quality night photos. The AI Ultra-clear Engine is OPPO's unique image-enhancing technology that is able to break all hardware limitations to maximize the image quality to produce amazing night shots.

The R17 Pro holds two apertures on its main rear camera. A variable smart aperture of f1.5/f2.4 which can automatically adjust to the lighting conditions making images sharper and clearer in both bright and low light situations. The R17 Pro has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), which can stabilize images and guarantee a longer exposure time to brighten night-time photography, especially with a 7P lens module. The combination of these two features further heightens precision in night-time photography.

Thanks to the Sony IMX362 sensor on the R17 Pro main camera, it can capture images with ease and in detail. Therefore the R17 Pro's camera has 12 MP with dual-pixel for quick and accurate focusing, and 1.4-micron pixels size and 1/2.55 sensor size, for brighter night shots and lower noise level.
