SM Supermalls to Open First-Ever Sensory Lab at SM Mall of Asia

Soon, malling will be even more inclusive and comforting for everyone. SM Supermalls, through SM Cares, is introducing the SM Sensory Lab: Calming Corner — a free, thoughtfully designed space where individuals with sensory sensitivities such as autism, SPD, or anxiety can take a peaceful break from overstimulating environments. It’s a place for calm, care, and comfort right inside the mall.

Developed in partnership with DSWD, NCDA, and Autism Society Philippines, this new initiative shows SM’s ongoing mission to make every visit welcoming, safe, and accessible for all — redefining malling with empathy and inclusion.

SM Cares & DSAPI Celebrate Diversity and Unite Communities through Happy Talk 2025

SM Southmall came alive as SM Cares and the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI) hosted the second edition of Happy Talk: Usapang Down Syndrome 2025. The event gathered over 600 participants, including government officials, educators, therapists, and community stakeholders, to raise awareness and create safer, more inclusive spaces for individuals with Down syndrome.
