Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) is embracing digital payments through its partnership with GCash, allowing patients and their families to pay hospital-related fees via Scan to Pay and the GBills platform. The move aims to make healthcare transactions faster, more convenient, and more accessible while supporting the ongoing digital transformation of public healthcare services in the Philippines.

Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) has partnered with GCash to introduce cashless payment options through Scan to Pay and the GBills platform, making hospital transactions more convenient and accessible for patients and their families.

The partnership enables patients to settle hospital-related fees digitally, offering a practical alternative to cash transactions and helping reduce payment-related friction during critical moments when timely access to healthcare matters most.

QMMC has been known as one of the “takbuhan ng bayan” government hospitals in the National Capital Region. The integration of digital payment solutions into its operations marks a significant step toward modernizing public healthcare transactions and improving accessibility for the thousands of patients who rely on its services.

For many patients and their families, access to convenient payment options helps make hospital transactions faster and more manageable during critical moments. GCash’s payment solutions further streamline this process by enabling quicker, more seamless transactions without the need to prepare exact cash or queue for manual payment processing.

Beyond patient payments, the partnership also supports internal operational efficiency through digital disbursement capabilities, which may serve as an alternative for payroll-related transactions and other institutional financial processes.

“This partnership reflects our commitment to making public healthcare services more responsive to the evolving needs of the communities we serve. By embracing digital payment solutions, we are helping make hospital transactions more efficient, accessible, and convenient for our patients,” said Dr. Evelyn Victoria E. Reside, Medical Center Chief II of QMMC.

Further, the initiative reinforces the broader mission of GCash in expanding financial inclusion by enabling digital solutions in sectors that directly impact the everyday lives of Filipinos.

“At GCash, we believe financial technology can play a meaningful role in improving access to essential services. We are grateful to partner with QMMC as we continue to work toward enabling more seamless and efficient payment experiences across critical sectors,” GCash head of public sector Cleo Celeste Santos emphasized.

Through initiatives that expand access to digital payments, GCash is helping strengthen public service delivery and making healthcare transactions easier for Filipinos when they need them most.
