Recycling efforts are getting a boost as Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines expands its Tapon to Ipon program through a new partnership with Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines and the Province of Quirino. The move aims to help more local government units improve how they collect and recycle plastic bottles, with added support such as solid waste management equipment.
With Quirino becoming ULAP’s first LGU member to officially activate the program, the initiative highlights how public and private groups can work together to make recycling more accessible at the community level. By recovering PET bottles of any brand, Tapon to Ipon continues to push practical, people-focused solutions that help turn everyday waste into long-term environmental action.
Coca‑Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines (CCEAP) has teamed up with the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) and the Provincial Government of Quirino to scale up the reach of the Tapon to Ipon program to more local government units (LGUs) nationwide.
This partnership aims to strengthen collaboration with LGUs and help enhance their PET collection and recycling systems, including support for solid waste management equipment such as baling machines. CCEAP also formalized its partnership with the Province of Quirino as ULAP’s first LGU member to officially join and activate the initiative.
The flagship Tapon to Ipon program of the Coca‑Cola system in the Philippines works to accelerate PET bottle recovery—of any brand—and strengthen recycling efforts across partner communities. Together with ULAP and the Province of Quirino, CCEAP is helping build more accessible, community‑driven, and impactful solid waste solutions in more areas across the country.
