Salmon is raising the bar for modern banking in the Philippines!
At its first-ever Salmon Press Day, the fast-growing fintech brought together media, creators, and partners for a closer look at how it’s making banking simpler, fairer, and more accessible for every Filipino. From new campaigns with Sam YG and Gretchen Ho to empowering creators through the Salmon Affiliate Platform, it’s clear that Salmon is building a future where everyone can “bank on” their goals.
Salmon, one of the Philippines’ fastest-growing fintech innovators, recently held its first-ever Salmon Press Day at Blackbird Makati, bringing together media, creators, and industry partners for an afternoon of inspiring conversations and fresh insights into the company’s mission: making modern banking simple, fair, and accessible to every Filipino.
The event offered guests a closer look at Salmon’s rapid growth, from its expanding suite of financial products to the continued rise of Salmon Bank (Rural Bank)—its digital-first arm designed to make everyday banking more seamless and inclusive. Over good food and casual conversations, attendees also got to meet the minds behind the brand and learn how Salmon is shaping the future of finance in the Philippines.
Empowering Filipinos Through Responsible Growth
Meanwhile, Raffy Montemayor, Co-Founder of Salmon Group and Chairperson of Salmon Bank, shared strong financial results: deposits nearly tripled year-on-year, loans grew over 40% quarter-on-quarter, and equity tripled within a year. Despite this rapid expansion, Salmon Bank maintains a capital adequacy ratio three times higher than BSP requirements, reflecting its strong governance and financial discipline.
“Trust is the foundation of everything we do,” Montemayor added. “We’ve earned it by keeping banking simple, transparent, and fair — and by putting people before numbers.”
“Bank On It” Campaign with Sam YG and Gretchen Ho
A highlight of the afternoon was the launch of Salmon’s latest campaign, “Bank On It,” featuring two trusted Filipino personalities — Sam YG and Gretchen Ho. Both shared their personal finance journeys and how Salmon’s time deposit products and user-friendly banking tools help them make confident financial decisions. The campaign encourages Filipinos to “bank on” their goals and take charge of their financial futures.
Launch of the Salmon Affiliate Platform
Salmon also unveiled the Salmon Affiliate Platform, the first proprietary affiliate program among Philippine consumer finance companies and banks. This platform allows Filipino creators and influencers to earn up to ₱500 per approved credit line application via referral links.
It’s an easy, transparent, and reliable way for creators — from micro to macro — to monetize their communities while promoting financial inclusion. The platform features a real-time dashboard for tracking referrals and payouts, ensuring full transparency.
The featured product, the Salmon Credit Line, offers Filipinos flexible access to credit with no annual fees, a virtual card, and up to ₱100,000 in credit limit — plus the longest grace period in the market, up to 62 days with no interest.
Collaboration, Community, and Financial Confidence
The event wrapped up with an Expert Talk featuring Salmon podcast hosts Joric Pecson and MK Bertulfo, along with host Alexis Tinsay, discussing saving, investing, and building long-term financial confidence.
