VALORANT Welcomes Veto: The Mutation-Powered Sentinel from Senegal

During the grand finals of VALORANT Champions Paris, Riot Games unveiled Veto, the newest Sentinel agent set to join the roster on October 7, 2025. Born from an unstoppable DNA mutation, this Senegalese enforcer brings a new level of disruption to the battlefield — neutralizing enemy powers and tech to force pure gunplay duels.

Veto’s abilities redefine tactical defense: Chokehold traps and decays foes, Crosscut enables instant teleports via vortexes, Interceptor destroys incoming utilities, and Evolution grants full mutation, regeneration, and immunity to debuffs. Alongside Veto’s debut, VALORANT’s new mode “Skirmish” is now live, offering players 1v1 to 5v5 quick fights in a tight, action-packed map where combat starts instantly.

During the grand finals of VALORANT Champions Paris, Riot Games and VALORANT revealed Veto, the newest Sentinel joining the agent roster. Empowered by an unstoppable DNA mutation, Senegalese enforcer Veto defies the rules of engagement by nullifying his opponent’s powers and technology. On Veto’s battlefield, gunplay is your only guarantee. Veto’s abilities include:

• Chokehold - EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.
• Crosscut - EQUIP a vortex. FIRE to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, REACTIVATE to teleport to the vortex. During the BUY PHASE, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.
• Interceptor - EQUIP an Interceptor. FIRE to place the Interceptor at the projected location. Once placed, RE-USE to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would BOUNCE off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.
• Evolution - INSTANTLY begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.

Veto releases on October 7, 2025. VALORANT also recently introduced Skirmish, now live for players. Skirmish is a new custom game mode providing 1v1 to 5v5 fights in a new, close quarters map where you get into the fight right away.
