East West Banking Corporation (EastWest) First Vice President and Chief Information Security & Data Protection Officer (CISO & DPO), Manuel Joey A. Regala, was recently recognized for his “invaluable support and contribution to the attainment of the Philippine National Police – Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP–ACG)’s mission towards a safer cyber environment.”
The award was given during the PNP-ACG’s 5th Founding Anniversary celebration held at the PNP Multi-Purpose Center at Camp Crame, Quezon City. In photo, Regala (rightmost) receives the plaque of recognition from the occasion’s guest of honor and speaker, Senator Joseph Victor G. Ejercito.
Regala is recognized for his role as chairman of the PNP-ACG Advisory Council. Meantime, as EastWest’s CISO & DPO, Regala harnesses his proven track record on implementing an effective information security infrastructure to protect clients’ personal data as well as the bank’s data assets, especially that data security remains a priority issue for banks.
