Instagram just released the much awaited app for Windows Mobile OS. Now users of the popular photo-sharing app can enjoy the app that Android and iOS users have a long time ago. Hopefully Blackberry users specially the ones using OS 10 can also get some love and have Instagram available for their phones.
As of the moment it's still on beta stage, but should give you the features that we commonly use:
- Custom filters: XProII, Lo-fi, Brannan, 1977, etc.
- Video recording (which should be around 30 sec.)
- post directly to Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, and Foursquare
- Supports front and back cameras of your Windows Phone
The app is 12MB in size and should fit even if you install it on the phone memory. I'm wondering what Windows Phone users might picture-post first, as we've known that they have good cameras too, and must have been waiting for this to complete their experience and love the OS better than before.
For the app to run smoothly you must have the following system requirements:
- Windows 8 for mobile
- Front and back cameras
- GPS( for location services and Foursquare)
- Good wifi connection/ 3G and up for data plan
