Introducing the Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 which was tagged as the #GameChanger, a smartphone that contains powerful CPU but still budget-friendly. Unlike it's predecessor (Cherry Mobile Flare) this one is loaded with a quad-core processor, to meet the demands of  its users plus the newer and power-hungry apps in the Android world.

Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 specs

CPU: 1.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 Processor
OS: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Screen type: 4-inch Capacitive Touchscreen
Camera: Main Autofocus 5MP Camera with Dual LED Flash / VGA Front Camera
Radio: FM Radio
Memory: 4GB Rom | 512 RAM
External memory: MicroSD up to 32GB
Battery: 1,550 mAH

With these specifications, we know that Flare 2.0 is ready to win battles and budgets of the Filipino. You're getting a quad-core processor that should allow you to switch between tasks, play games or simply watch your favorite video. The 5MP Auto-focus camera should allow you to take those photos and upload them on Instagram, while the front camera should suffice the hunger on consumers for more selfies.

Having 2 networks work simultaneously is a bonus so you don't have to carry two different phones. No need to switch between networks since Flare 2.0 is expected to handle the incoming messages at the same time.

So what makes Flare 2.0 stand out from the crowd?

"Inline with our commitment to making the benefits of the technology accessible to all Filipinos, we are very proud of the Flare 2.0, which was dubbed as 'Quadcore ng Bayan' (Quad-core of the People). We believe that advanced technology is for everyone and low-cost should not always mean low-capability", said Poch Zenarosa, Marketing Head for Cherry Mobile.

What can we expect with Flare 2.0 and its Quad-core Processor?
"Users will be able to do more while having to recharge less with the Flare 2.0, as the device is capable of running multiple apps and switching between them without sacrificing performance or battery life", explained Lonson Alejandrino, Product Manager for SmartPhones.

Cherry Mobile goes Qualcomm...again

"We are delighted to be able to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies on this product to deliver a superior mobile experience to consumers. With significant upgrades in hardware and software, the new Flare 2.0 is powerful, yet still affordable", added Alejandrino

Qualcomm is one of the most trusted Designer and supplier of CDMA chipsets in the mobile world, that brings devices that required punch to run apps and games. Same with its other SmartPhone models, Cherry Mobile trusted Qualcomm to build and embed the quad-core processor on their new Flare.

Retails at an affordable price of PHP 3,999.00 which is very budget-friendly for a quad-core smartphone. Now average consumers can enjoy the usefulness of having a smartphone without spending much, but still getting that juice that they will need once they install their favorite android apps.

Now, we at can't wait for the review unit so we can put this to real test.
