After months from the release of Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung paved its way in unveiling a new PHABLET on under its Galaxy NOTE flagship, the Samsung Galaxy NOTE 4

The Galaxy NOTE 4 is not just an executive version of Samsung Galaxy S5's specifications, not even a simple replacement to Galaxy NOTE 3. During the Samsung Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 live simulcast(last September 3), we were teased with different tricks and features that the new NOTE 4 can do like:

  • wide selfie
  • multi-task window
  • low battery consumption
  • powerful new features of the S Pen

“The Galaxy Note series signaled extraordinary innovation within the technology industry. Its larger screen size and iconic S Pen technology launched a new standard in smartphone culture,” said JK Shin, CEO and Head of IT & Mobile Communication at Samsung Electronics. “With the introduction of the Galaxy Note series, we brought the age-old culture of the pen and notepad into the digital world. The new Galaxy Note 4 introduces the most refined Note experience to-date by combining all the latest technology that users expect from the Galaxy series.”

Galaxy NOTE 4 Key Features:

  • 2.7 GHz Quad core processor / 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor (country dependent)
  • 5.7" Quad HD Super AMOLED screen

A lot of great features can found on the new Galaxy NOTE 4. The processor spec sheet points out that it's ready for serious multitasking and power hungry apps.

Big screen really does matter. A high-end touch screen  with a small screen is a big disappointment, thus the 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display of the Galaxy NOTE 4 compliments the big engine inside. Having an almost 6-inch display lets users run apps side by side so to speak, thanks to it Multi Window feature. You can go full screen, split or pop-up screens,  your choice!

During the launch it was highlighted that NOTE 4 allows selfie lovers to include their friends and not just make them look like photobombers, as they're no longer required to go contact with your cheeks. The Wide Selfie feature lets you take panoramic selfie that goes up to 120 degrees wide. The 3MP front camera has a 1.9 wide aperture, letting you take low light shots, which is currently a problem for selfie lovers with an average smartphone.

Of course the main camera, won't even disappoint. NOTE 4 is bundled with 16MP snapper loaded Smart Optical Image Stabilizer, that take color-rich photos, stunning details and are blur-free.

Samsung made a big leap with the release of NOTE 4, as we've seen them partnered with widely-known companies and brands like Yahoo, Nike, Mont Blanc, and even Swarovski. Truly a strong statement from Samsung that its ready to lead the competition.

The Galaxy Note 4 will be available on October 2014, in 4 enticing color variants:
  • Charcoal Black
  • Frost White
  • Bronze Gold
  • Blossom Pink
Galaxy NOTE 4 will be available in 4 different colors

No official price range yet for the Galaxy NOTE 4 yet, but if we're going to have it compared to the price of Galaxy NOTE 3 on its initial release, the successor should be around PHP35,000-PHP40,000. Expected availability of the Galaxy NOTE 4 is mid-October 2014, but our palms are already itchy to hold and get one.
