Young Pinoy pro cyclists complete Prudential RideLondon 2018

Seven Filipino cyclists conquered Prudential RideLondon last July 28 and 29 in United Kingdom, participating in the world's biggest cycling event
Three teenage professional Filipino cyclists recently completed the Prudential RideLondon Surrey 46 in London, United Kingdom.


Philippine National Road Race Under-23 Champion Ismael Grospe, Jr. (19 years old,) with Aidan James Mendoza (19 years old,) and Genesis Maraña (17 years old,) clocked in 03:05:44 as they cycled the route that started at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and finished at The Mall in front of Buckingham Palace.


Together with almost 4,500 riders from around the world, the Pinoy cyclists took on 46 miles of traffic-free roads. The Prudential RideLondon Surrey 46 is an intermediate category open to cyclists not younger than 16 years old who are yet to conquer a 100-mile challenge. This is the third year that the category was featured in Prudential RideLondon, dubbed as the world’s greatest festival of cycling.

Other cyclists who represented the Philippines in Prudential RideLondon Surrey 100 category are Philippine National Road Race Champion Jermyn Prado, John Kenneth Cruz, Ryan Lamayo, Tetsuya “Jun” Minagawa, and Bertrand Dominique Teplitxky.
