MSI GE63 VR 7RE Raider Gaming Laptop Review: No Hype, it's a Beast

What does a 100K laptop doing in our review table? MSI PH lend us one of its high-end gaming laptops: The MSI GE63 VR 7RE Raider. MSI has evolved its portables into a gaming machine to support the growing community of gamers. 

The laptop's outer metallic shell features brushed  aluminum casing which gives its premium look and feel. The MSI Dragon logo, lits up as soon as you turn on the laptop. The boot up time is really fast. If we're not mistaken it only takes less than 15 seconds for it to show the logon screen. If you're into cars, the speed is like your 10-second car

The review unit has Tekken 7 installed. Too bad there's no ready gaming pad nor controller, but you'll feel that the game was intense. Yes the keyboard can handle the beating.

The 100-player PvP Fort Nite works well too. We just wish that our internet connection is fast as this laptop's speed.

The keyboard can handle the beating very well. It's responsive and easy to touch that you won't feel any stress on every key press. Its layed out well and has the right spacing between each key. Of course if you want to have the best gaming experience, pair it with a gaming controller or a gaming mouse.

I guess that only thing that bothers me, is just one thing... the right arrow button. It just sitting beside the 0/ins key. If you'll be using this for working on documents/blogging and the likes, you might accidentally enable the insert key from time to time.

Strong features and specs requires enough power which will make the devic invite heat, the MSI Cooler Boost 5 keeps them at bay. There's even an option to make the fan blow the heat out of laptop. So far during our review, we didn't notice any overheating issue and its cooling system handled it well.

When it comes to business or productivity this laptop is made ready too. If you trade in the stock market, lay out charts at day, and play hardcore games at night this can deliver. It's fast in rendering data and executes each key press with precision. Its a big plus that the illuminated keyboard light can be interchanged. Also you know that keyboard is durable enough yet comfy to type in specially if you use it for long hours. It's very responsive yet sturdy.

The placement of the touchpad favors the left side of the laptop. So if you are a left you may find it handy. There's plenty of room though if you prefer to use the touchpad while resting your palm on the laptop.

You can pretty much customize anything. The USB slots have their own fancy lights that can be turned on and off easily. You may find the USB led lights handy when you need to plugin something on the USB Port or just brag it to your friends. You'll definitely love it even if you work and play and in the dark.

The 15-inch screen is pleasant to look and doesn't feel it all over your face. Its full HD and projects the images and game movements well. Even on lowlight or complete darkness, the screen's brightness is just right. It also has its own display modes, where the screen's tone and vividness has different presets for Reading, Gaming, Movies, etc.

We're wishing that we had more time to play with this beast. It jam packed with features that takes months for you to get noticed It tends to give its handlers/owners a connection that other games would love to have on their gaming system. The quality on this gaming laptop is future proof and made to handle your video games even in the max settings.

Speaking of maxed out settings, the built-in speakers are no plain jane. The audio output is surreal and your ears will love the sound it delivers. Gamers know that capturing all the sound  and noise in a game can be used them in their advantage and know where the enemy will strike and prepare for countermeasure or go in full attack mode.

Overall it's a powerful gaming laptop that lives up to its name and price. It's performance and speed are solid in different aspects. The GE63 VR 7RE Raider retails at PHP 109,995.00. Full-featured laptops don't come cheap. The quality of its materials and aesthetics speaks for itself.
