Yahoo Celebrity Awards 2014 launches in Philippines

Aren't you excited to know who will be the winners for Yahoo Philippines'  Yahoo Celebrity Awards of 2014?

 June 4, 2014, Thursday at the Amber Ultralounge in BGC, people from the press, online media, bloggers and celebrities gathered to witness the debut of the much awaited and most celebrated event that highlights the local scene of Showbiz and entertainment in the country, the Yahoo Celebrity Awards. 

This year's ceremony of awarding the most influential celebrities and icons includes 140 nominees under 28 different categories

Previously known as the Yahoo OMG! Awards, the debut of Yahoo Celebrity Awards of 2014, features over a 100 nominees from almost 30 categories that includes TV and movie celebrities, celebrity-couples, Sports Icons, Radio DJs and many more. The launch is very memorable as Yahoo Philippines added ten new categories from 2013's 18 categories. This is very timely as the scene keeps on evolving and the fans can't just be caged on a certains category for the celeb of their choice.

The addition of the 10 new categories gives the fans more options to choose from and will help them decide much better. Also, on this day the Yahoo Celebrity! Philippines website was also officially unveiled. To Mike's surprise, even before the launch a lot of Filipinos all over the world, already casted their votes. He was so amazed with the ingenuity of his Filipino brothers and sisters here and abroad, due to the flood of votes that came in, days before the media launch.

6. Male  ‘Kontrabida’ (Antagonist)

10. Social Media Star

Commenting at the launch, Kate Delos Reyes, Country Manager & Country Editor of Yahoo Philippines said “Yahoo Celebrity Awards honors not only the Pinoy stars but also the fans who propel them to stardom. So by simply going to the website, one can vote and help his/her the celebrity of his/her choice win the specific category

The actual event and announcement of the winners for Yahoo Celebrity Awards will be on July 18, 2014 and will held at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City.
