HTC One Max announced, iPhone 5s killer?

Taipei, Taiwan, October 14, 2013 – HTC, unveiled the new HTC One that will be added to the existing line of great mobile phones that uses the same prefix. Introducing the HTC One Max, a super-sized smartphone that brings the award-winning design, functionality and performance of the HTC One to fans of larger handsets.

Key Features:

  • Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 processor Quad-core 1.7GHZ CPU
  • HTC Ultrapixel Camera
  • Fingerprint Scanner
  • HTC Sense 5.5, HTC’s signature UI that offers a different experience and fluidity to its core users
  • Large 5.9” Full HD display at 1080p.
  • Dual Capture – shoot simultaneously on both front and main(rear) camera, whether it’s a digital image or HD videos
  • Built-in 16GB/32GB internal memory
  • Expandable memory thru microSD™ card slot
  • 50GB Google Drive cloud storage(exclusive to the owners of this Smartphone)
  • 3300mAh battery

"The addition of the HTC One max means that we now have an HTC One phone for everyone. The family has been built on quality and game-changing innovations and the HTC One max is certainly no exception," said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC Corporation"The upgrade to HTC Sense 5.5 will provide our most amazing mobile experience yet, with the HTC One max delivering the size and power required to do everything you want, and more, without compromise."

HTC also includes the BlinkFeed feature, which works as an RSS reader, to bring you the news from well-known partners such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Engadget, TechCrunch, Associated Press, AFP and even Instagram to name a few. It also provides the option to choose your own feed depending on the category that you prefer. In addition to this, BlinkFeed, allows you to store up to 120 articles and make them available offline or for later reading.

The FingerPrint Scanner bring the security to a whole a new level, where the technology were not available to mobile devices before. It doesn't only unlocks or wakes up your phone but can also launch up to three different apps (1 app per assigned finger)

With its feature-rich specs, like the huge internal space available plus the Quad-core processor,  fans of the HTC brand will definitely upgrade. On the contrary, current iOS/iPhone users may think of a possible switch as the iPhone 5s’ feats are still limited to internal memory plus a small storage in cloud, unless of course you're willing to sign up for a premium online storage. Now the debut of Fingerprint Scanner feature of HTC One Max may also amp the competition and the data-hungry users may choose a longer battery life. Only time can tell on how this Smartphones' battle will go, once these two high-end phones will be widely available in the general market.

The HTC One Max will be gradually available across the globe starting the mid-end of October this year. Initially it will be available in Glacial Silver, but who knows, they may offer it in Red, White, Black or even Pink. Time to get your fingers crossed
