Just last week, while everyone was busy preparing for the launch of Windows 8.1 via update, Sony uncovers two new cameras that will change the history of DSLRs.

The  Î±7 and Î±7R full-frame mirrorless cameras are built for the kill...as they promise to change the history of shooting in digital-format through a mirrorless full-frame sensor

Sony's new full-frame DSLR, World's first mirrorless

“With these new α7 camera systems, Sony has completely redefined the look and feel of a professional-grade digital camera,” said Mike Kahn, director of the interchangeable lens camera business at Sony Electronics.  “The α7 and α7R cameras are significantly smaller, lighter and more portable than any other full-frame interchange lens camera yet deliver image quality, power and performance that professionals and enthusiasts crave.”

A7 Key Features:
  • 24.3 MP
  • BIONZ® X processor
  • XGA OLED Tru-finder
  • full HD 60p video recording
  • Wi-Fi® and NFC connection

A7R Key Features:
  • 36.4 MP
  • BIONZ® X processor
  • XGA OLED Tru-finder
  • full HD 60p video recording
  • Wi-Fi
  • NFC connection
These two new full frame bodies were built using magnesium alloy and at the same time dust & moisture-resistant to provide worry-less shooting even under extreme weather conditions.

Sony proves once again that it can go head-to-head with the leading camera manufacturers at still surpass them with new feats and technology w/o hesitation to be the first in the industry to showcase such new additions.

Though at time it may look like the OM-D, the Î±7 and α7R models are entirely different from the Olympus brand mirrorless camera that uses the four-thirds system

The mentioned features are mouth-watering and hard to resist, especially for Pros who are looking for an all-in-one system that will help improve their existing workflow.

Together with this announcement, Sony introduces 5 new full-frame E-mount lenses that are made for the a7 and a7R full-frame mirrrorless DSLRs. The Sony Î±7 and α7R will be offered to the public December this year
